Re: Jacob Townsend

He's always been someone that doesn't mind hitting a few blokes. We need more of that. No more nice guy antics. Hard as nails, unlike the majority of our list. I’m sure Rutten, Cara and Richardson have seen enough of him to know he’s worth a shot. We might actually hold the ball in our forward line...

Re: Jacob Townsend

Yeah, yeah, give him a clap and a jersey but if he's the only thing we can get really excited about in the whole of this trade period, then God help us! 8

Re: Joe Daniher's Groin, Calf, Moustache, Little Pinky

I think if we do appear to be criticizing Joey directly or indirectly we are as much criticising the way he's been coached and handled. Anyway we will know the truth in a very short time that will be that.

Re: Joe Daniher's Groin, Calf, Moustache, Little Pinky

I'm hearing he is on the piss all the time...not good for an elite athlete undergoing comprehensive rehabilitation. Sorry if this comes across as insensitive but there is definitely more to this situation than is being discussed. You need to listen to better sources. Come climb on Uncle Boncers kne...

Re: Joe Daniher's Groin, Calf, Moustache, Little Pinky

This whole JoeDan thing could blow right up in the clubs face. There are NO guarantees he will play again or that he will be able to recapture any of the great form he is known for but hasn't produced in a long time. We refused to trade him on a lick and a promise, in the belief our medico's and ph...

Sorry but who is Jacob Townsend?
Probably someone no one else wants, if I know us.

But no, "glamour boy" Tiger delisted by Richmond the other day - 2017 flag team, good raps when not injured. GWS originally. Free agent now.

Re: The Baby Powder Twins

They were awesome players. We probably took them for granted. We have nothing like them on the list now! Throw in Wallis, Hardwick, Longy, Hird, Lloyd, Moorcroft....that team was as tough as nails. I hardly remember any of that bunch having a bad day. Could watch the replays over and over (living i...

Re: Those Shown the Door....

Brown stood up on several critical occasions and we were glad he was there. But when opposition teams woke up to him, most of us could see he had no future. When he was touted as our best scoring hope on one or two occasions, it sent shivers through me and although he was a hard working, honest cont...

Re: The Five Things that Need to Happen if We are to be Relevant Again

Something has to give if this football club is to make the next step and again become relevant and a serious finals contender. If these things don’t happen then it’s making up numbers time again in 2020. Please feel free to add your thoughts and opinions 1. The Obvious Avenue - Fit and firing Danih...

Re: The Five Things that Need to Happen if We are to be Relevant Again

Dunno where to begin. It’s probably easier just to point to some horrendously consistent flaws... 1. Pre-season is always an abomination at our club. It is just absolutely disgraceful how we hit pre-season matches in such shitfull condition, and executing disgusting disposal. All this with the supp...

Re: Those Shown the Door....

As someone said to me today - it seems that Woosha may have rated him somewhat but Ruttie doesn't. Myself, I thought another year on a rookie list would not have been an issue given rookies are generally long term or risky speculations that rarely come off ... but I can only conclude that there are...

Re: Those Shown the Door....

Feel for Jok. He had high hopes and tried his arse off but I always felt he was just never going to get there. IMHO something wrong with the way he used his body, no matter how hard he tried. Sad too that his family was so proudly comitted to him and Essendon. Maybe he'll go to the NBL. Arrividerci ...

Judge him and the team on their Merits. If they perform well and Win,you cheer for them. Play like you Stink like Shit and lose often and badly, expect to cop the flak! Re: Bonar

Bit disappointed we didn't get Bonar. Was always going to go cheap in terms of trade deals, but I'm guessing it was his salary that was the expensive part that made us rule him out. Gna watch him carefully throughout the year (if he gets a run) and see exactly what we missed for $400,000 or whateve...
