Not sure what the issue with Smith is. He is clearly not at his best this season - he's been ok.

I wonder if he is carrying some injury...maybe keeping him for ANZAC?
Watched Woosha's selection interview - Smith being managed for his chronic knee issue.
He talked about Brayden Ham being included as an emergency too.
Yep... there is no greater honor for a young Essendon player than to sit on the extended emergency list for weeks at a time while watching others with lesser impact or ability be auto walkups.

Guelfi for Smith is hardly like for like - Gulfi is averaging just 2 tackles a game compared to Smith's 6.5.

Was this the issue he had at GWS

Seems Ham is going to actually play - late change.
Not sure who's out. Some saying Zaharakis, but others just as sure he's still playing.

Late change

In: Joe
Out: Clarke (calf bleed overnight ???)

WTF?

TBell lucky in the first place not to be dropped. Joe rucking? f*** me dead!

AFL gonna fine us for this and we are playing an underdone player. Why we didn't name a ruck amongst the emergencies is beyond me.

Late late changes??
If there are any more changes - Zaka, McKenna, Ham...anyone.....I won't be able to watch the game at all this arvo, I'll be laughing too hard.
Surely with the JD announcement, they'd announce any others too?

So just to clarify - late changes

Out: Zaha, Clarke
In: Ham, JD

Zaha was in hospital for a couple of days during the week being treated for infection from the cut knee from last week. The club decided at the last minute to rest him.

If we'd stop handballing to someone under immediate pressure, and kick more accurately at goal, this would be a repeat of last week

Some wasted opportunities, but the same can be said on their part. We are looking slick in the midfield. Heppell has been enormous. Shiel absolutely brilliant. Razz is Bewick all over. Just keep pumping it into the F50 Dons...

Hope we can put them away by 15 goals tonight and humiliate that rat Scott But hope we don't let it go to our heads. I saw the pies clinically destroy Brisbane last night and we'll definitely have to lift a notch to get anywhere near them. However that said there's probably not a better time to meet them now that we are pumped and hopefully we will be at almost full strength by then

A good win, but against weak opposition.

Anzac Day will be a big test of where we're at.
