Its smart selection. We can actually win with the team we have in. The lovely thing is that constant pressure to win to stay in the 8 is lifted. That pressure valve release may have a great effect on them.

We are resting the dudes that have been playing sore and giving those that need a run a run.
I don't think we can possibly win with that team without Raz and Stringer. Mids will be under huge pressure. Laverde still hasnt shown any measurable form.Just sit back with a couple of bottles and knock yourself out.

Clarke to go to Treloar

Shiel v Pendles - see who can do the most damage

Zerritt v Adams - as above

Mitch Brown to kick 5 and start a remarkable run as he becomes our finals hero

Grundy to be BOG by a street against an underdone TBell. Would have been BOG by a block if Z Clarke was playing.

Bombers to win by 8 pts - I will be hammered by half time regardless....

To win 5 games straight against Top 8 opposition is not goin to happen. Would rather lose this and then win a couple of finals...certainly at least one. Tonight is a training drill.

Despite the umps and an ugly start we've come to play at least.. God Ham looks about 10 yrs old. This is one of the most unlikely teams we've ever fielded and we're 2 goals ahead.

End of Q1, Well that was unexpected.

Jok's first touch was a beauty.

Tippa has come to play tonight and gee we look different when Parish, McKenna and Hurley click. Parish has had 10 touches at 70% and Tippa 7 at 85%.

Redman also impressive.

Keep it going fellahs!

WE ARE ESSENDON WE ARE ESSENDON...so lets not get too excited just yet.
However....i think this group are simply playing as though they have nothing to lose and no expectations...which suits them for the moment....

You're correct Daisy.

They shut down Parish, and Francis made a few bloopers that cost at both ends. Saad has only had 4 touches so far.

Why they have Begley on Pendels is beyond me - he is too slow and Pendelbury cut him to shreds that quarter getting 11 possies in dangerous areas. Phillips and Mayne are outplaying their opponents.

We are working twice as hard as them for little advantage and back to our old habit of bombing to no one when we manage to get our hands on it. Plus we're getting flattened and that could hurt us badly in 2 weeks..Bloody fast footy and Tippa and Co are magnificant to watch but I expect we will get slaughtered in Q3 barring a miracle. Wish Browny was strong enough to handle three contests but they flatten him every time.

What was the plan for tonight? Resting players to save bodies for finals yet go in hard and reckless with the remaining 3/4 of our team to sustain yet more injuries..serious too...playing it smart is not something this Club seems able to encounter...

f****** cheating f****** asswipe maggotts

Laverde mark slapped out of his hands (so should have been 50 and certain goal) instead a 12 point turnaround as they run it up the other end for a goal.

I think it was Francis but anyway you're right. Some putrid decisions that quarter really cost us.
